We have the location!

You found it!

http://bitly.com/violentlemming

Now we have the location of the interceptor, but we need to figure out the wordlock. It sounds like this might have something to do with the crossword grid. Is it the letters? The numbers? I don’t know. I’m not good with puzzles.

Better solve it and tweet to @VincentOneEar.

The Operation?

We have got to find the other half of the code. On the Nexus forums, General Emerson writes:

“The operation” is our little pet name for a top-priority project. One-half the code name is LIENMGMW if you jump a fence with four rails. You might have to give it a single shave. The other half I cannot tell you. You will need to consult with the son of the famed Stahlman researcher or discover this on your own volition.

I’m told that LIENMGMW is “lemming,” but what’s the other half? For some reason, I think I may have the answer, but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s like when you get up to go to another room and then when you get there, you can’t remember why you’re standing there. Since I got home from the Middle East, this has been happening to me more and more.

I’m afraid we don’t have time to wait for the “famed Stahlman researcher.” We’re not the only ones trying to figure this out. We can’t let AFGC get the interceptor location. We must find it first.

Zip File Six

Sophie gave me the keys to her blog before she left. I know everything that’s going on, but I haven’t heard from either sister. Something is wrong. I know it. I made contact with King George III in London and he says BZRK has no trace of either of them.

These are the contents of the sixth zip file. We need to figure out the final bitly address. It must have something to do with “the operation,” whatever that is.

More importantly, where are Sophie and Sylvie? I’m beyond worried.

401. = manchurian

39. Perform Alchemy on a Hero’s Name. = hammersgold

The Diplomat

Something isn’t right. Dad’s holding something back.

We have the keycard to his office, but we need to figure out the code to his office safe. Davis included a photo of it in the last zip file.

Zip File Five

It’s late now. Sylvie keeps pacing in her room. I can hear her steps. It’s driving me crazy. I don’t know what’s gotten into her. But I do know we’re going back to New York this weekend. We have to. Davis must have been onto something about out father. Even if he did lose his mind, of part of it, he’s still Davis, isn’t he? He wouldn’t just make this up, right?

Our dad is involved somehow. He has to be – that’s definitely his office safe in the file. Is he Lear? I guess we’ll find out. We’re going to surprise him.

And what’s this De Humbert business? I Googled “Albert De Humbert” and found one thing about a Spanish bishop in 1200, but I don’t see this having any connection to what’s been going on. Is this the total ranting of a crazy person, or did Davis maybe misunderstand something else?

It’s anyone’s guess.

94. Famous British Library = bodleian | 59. ’61 test show who? = milgram

This video makes me so sad. It’s been almost two months now since we found out, but I still just don’t understand how this happened to my big brother. I wish you could have met the real Davis. He was special.

Zip File Four

I asked Sylvie to do this because I’m swamped with school and she seems to have a lot of time on her hands lately, but she refused and sulked away. I don’t know what’s been getting into her lately. Now I learn she’s having breakfast tomorrow with Armand Cage. I warned her against it, but she insisted that she go.

I’m not sure what this week’s puzzle questions mean, but here they are:

931. Bride of Nexus’s monster = Cage

85. He scares me the most. = Dehumbert

Here’s the rest of the contents……….

wormies

Zip File Three

Been meaning to put these up, but I’ve been studying all night. You guys are so smart. I never would have gotten this one.

37. 001 wasn’t necessarily the 00Best = Nelson (he’s the first James Bond!)

72. Yum! Delicious Gouty Mint Gum! = Franklin (Like the Franklin Mint, and cause Ben Franklin had gout. I hate crossword puzzles, by the way).

Zip File Two Contents

Sophie’s hanging out with some friends so here I am posting the video and contents of another zip file Davis hid that all of you helped us find.

I don’t feel like I’m getting any closer to the truth, or to finding that thing Davis was supposed to have got his hands on. I feel more confused than ever, but at least Davis remembered that we loved to watch Simon Schama together. That made me feel good. It’s a happy memory.

I’ve been re-reading his meeting notes. I have no idea what “religious freedom” has to do with any of this or why anyone would care if Nexus Humanus is considered a religion or not.

1. The BBC’s non-rhymin’ Simon is more knowledgeable but less tasty than shawarma. = Schama

74. Raditude – 3 + n = ? – Ween

You Found My Old Laptop!

Thanks for finding where my old laptop wound up. My new friend Anthony helped VPN into it. He noticed that an old file had been changed on August 8. I made a jpg out of it for you.

Also, I saw Sylvie’s post about Davis yesterday. One of his little secrets was that he LOVED the movie Mary Poppins. I’m sure he’d be embarrassed if he knew I told you that, but embarrassing Davis is one of my strong suits. I thought of that from his Uncle Albert reference. I wonder if that’s some kind of code or passkey.

Laptop

I can’t believe someone took my new laptop. I have a sneaky feeling this was no random grab, and that it’s not the laptop they were looking for so the joke’s on them. This is a new one I got when I was home for the funeral. The old one that was all marked up got donated to one of my mom’s charities.

She’s not sure which one has it, but here’s a list of the most likely “suspects.” I think we better hunt it down and see what’s on that old computer.

1. Acme Children’s Fund
2. Plays By Kids
3. Greater New York Families Shelter
4. Little Orphan Fanny Community Center
